I’m Lauren, the proud owner and heart behind our husband-and-wife team. Since 2008, I’ve dedicated my life to providing exceptional care for pets throughout our local communities. From senior companions and pets with special needs to playful puppies learning the ropes, I’ve built Companion Pet Services around one simple goal: treating every pet as if they were my own.

Before starting this business, I gained hands-on experience at an animal hospital, working my way from intern to kennel tech and eventually vet assistant. I also spent time in pet stores, caring for animals of all kinds—experiences that gave me a strong foundation in animal health, behavior, and compassionate care.

🐱 Meet Dan — Our Resident Cat Whisperer
Dan began working with me part-time in 2021, consistently handling client visits four days a week while balancing another career. In 2025, he officially joined me full-time. His calm, steady energy and natural connection with animals — especially cats (we lovingly call him the cat whisperer) — make him an invaluable part of what we do.
Together, we’re fully insured and certified in pet CPR and first aid, ensuring your furry family members are always in safe, capable hands.

We also offer personalized services like pet taxi assistance and even acting as a pet wedding attendant — because we know every family’s needs are unique.

The story of Companion Pet Services LLC began with a deep love for animals and a dream to make a difference in our community. Before launching the business, I spent nearly over decade in pet care—helping families care for their furry (and not-so-furry) companions. Over time, I realized I wanted to build something of my own—a service rooted in trust, loyalty, open communication, and genuine love for animals.
💪 Turning Challenges Into Purpose
Five years ago, life threw me a major curveball. After a car accident that led to back surgery, I wasn’t sure how I’d keep up with the pets and families who relied on me. That’s when Dan stepped in to help. What started as a temporary fix quickly turned into something much more — he discovered how naturally he connected with the animals and clients, and he’s been by my side ever since.
Together, we turned a setback into a partnership and built a business we’re deeply proud of. Every challenge we’ve faced has only strengthened our commitment to the pets — and the people — who trust us.
❤️ More Than Just Pet Care
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been the relationships we’ve built. I’ll always remember a sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who felt like part of my own family. Her owners trusted me and they’d call just to have me keep her company for the day. Even though they’ve since moved away, we still stay in touch — a reminder that the bonds we form through this work last far beyond the visits themselves.
